So, it's been a while since I updated our blog. A lot has been going on in the Miner household. Here is a little recap of the last 7 month.

APRIL

We went to Austin for Harper's baptism. We were all so excited that Brock was Harper's godfather. We definitely wouldn't have missed it. We decided to fly because I really didn't want to chance the trip in the car. A 7 hour drive with Allie doesn't always end too good. But she did great on the flight and entertained everyone that would listen.

MAY

We celebrated Mother's day with all our families. Allie had her gymnastics Olympics. That was the cutest thing I have ever been too. She absolutely loved all the attention and truly believe that everyone was there to see her and only her.

JUNE

June 2nd, Brock and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary. The same night I had a miscarriage with Baby Miner #2. What an anniversary present, huh!! It was a complete surprise to both of us and also to Dr. Hager. I had just been to see her for a check up and Baby Miner was really strong. I was 11 weeks along and didn't think that this would ever happen. My due date was December 24th. It is still taking me some time to get over this loss but I am getting there. The pain does go away, right??

We also had lots of visitors this month. Liam, Harper and Peyton all came to play. Summer Fun!!

JULY

Not much happened in July. We just enjoyed the summer weather. Went to the park and played in the pool. We went dancing at the Czech Hall for my grandpa's 80th birthday. FUN TIMES!!

AUGUST

Brock and I went to Austin so that Jill and I could celebrate our 29th Birthday together. I still can not believe that we are this old and that next year we will actually be 30!! Times surely flies. We were the first to see John and Jill's new house. They moved in the same weekend. It is a beautiful house and made me very jealous. The pic I did get of the outside does not do it justice. Allie stayed home with Nani and Geoff.

SEPTEMBER

Allie turned 2 on September 9th. We had her birthday party at the house that weekend. I'll post more of her birthday later. Cara and Peyton made the trip up for the party. We were so happy to see them. Cara took some great pictures..

More to come later. I promise to do a better job on keeping up with this thing. It is tough sometimes though.

Allie had an Easter party at gymnastics tonight. Her teacher had an Easter egg hunt set up for the kids and rabbit ears to wear so that the parents could take pictures. I of course forgot my camera because I forgot all about the Easter Day. Brock had his phone so these are the best he got. I have to say I love, love the last picture of her. She is such a ham for the camera...

Peyton Conrad Deese was born March 24th. He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 19 1/3 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great. Cara actually got to go home today. I know she will post lots of pictures when she gets the chance to. He is such a beautiful baby!!

18 Months and Gymnastics

So, I'm a little late with this post but Allie turned 18 months a few weeks back. Went to the doc and no shots!!! Yeah, i was extremely excited about that. She doesn't have to go back until her 2 year check up. Allie is on the small side of the scale as we all know. She weighed 21.11oz and was 30 1/4 inches tall. 5 to 10% in both. Her head size is still in the 75%.

Allie and I started a Mom and tot gymnastics class last week. Allie had the best time. Her favorite was running across the trampoline. She would run as fast as she could and then roll off the mat as they are supposed to do. They are having an "Olympics" in May that she gets to participate in. Now I have to find her a leotard that fits. How cute!!! Here are a few pics that Brock took at our class.... We have class tonight and Allie is so excited.

Play Dates

Liam and Aunt Haylie came over the other night for a play date. These two kids usually play pretty good together, but for some reason Allie wasn't having it. It was driving her crazy to see Liam playing with all her toys. She kept running after him and trying to take whatever he had. She would then look at Haylie and myself to see if we would do something.

All night they wanted to play with these dumb Thunder sticks. They kept attaching each other, Haylie and myself.

She loves, loves wearing Brock and I shoes.

She loves looking at herself in the mirror. She makes the funniest faces. The other day I saw her looking at herself in this mirror holding a book. I guess she wanted to see what she looked like reading. I was laughing so hard......She is so silly and cute.

This is what Brock and Allie got me for Valentines day. A mouse pad and coffee mug for me to take to work. So cute.......

My Visit with Cara

Yes, it has been a while since I have written a post. It's been a little busy in the Miner household. The first weekend in February I went to Florida to visit with Cara before Peyton arrives. It was mostly a girls weekend and I had a blast. We went out to dinner for Cara's 29th birthday to the Melting pot. Friday we laid out at the pool all day and drank. :) I had some delicious cocktails, and Cara has the virgin alternatives. My body also hasn't seen the sun in like 2 years, so needless to say I got burnt!! They live in a retirement community, and I have to say that I have never ever seen that many old wrinkly bodies in 2 pieces in my life. Man I sure hope I can retire that way. We also went and saw the movie "Dear John". Shopped a little and did a whole lot of nothing.. My favorite vacations..... Here are a few pics from my visit.

Allie, like myself, has really thin hair. I can not get any bows or clips to stay. I picked up Allie from school yesterday and Ms. Terri was able to put a little ponytail at the top of her head. She looked so cute. Here are a few pictures I was able to take.

I have to say that I have the most loving husband you could ask for. Brock stayed home with Allie while I was in Texas with Jill and John for 7 whole days and nights!!! I did not think that I was going to really make it that long but I did. I know they missed me, but survived. Now, I will have to thank him again in 2 weeks, as I head off to Florida to visit Cara before Mr. Peyton arrives. :) Am I a lucky girl or what!!!!!

My Niece is Here!!

Welcome to the world big girl. Harper Jenni Bohnen was born on January 14th at 7:26am. She weighed 9 lbs and 12 oz. And was 20 1/2 inches long.

They scheduled a cesarean for the morning of the 14th, because they did an ultrasound on Wednesday the 13th, ( 4 days after her due date, and no signs of coming out anytime soon) and realized that Harper was around 10 lbs. Those of you who know my sister know that she is not very big at all, and there is NO way that a 10 lb baby was going to squeeze out of her. Mom, her friend Geoff and I hit the road to Cedar Park, Texas Wednesday night. We finally arrived at 11pm that night and got a few hours of sleep before the big day. Here are a few pics of the little family of 3 ( and some friends)...

Christmas 2009

So, we had a crazy crazy Christmas. A little overwhelming, but we had a blast. We started out at the Miner's on Christmas Eve. And of course I forgot my camera. I was too worried about the drive over there that it completely slipped my mind. Oops!!

We had Santa's gifts at our house in the morning. I couldn't get my child to sit for two second, so this was the only pic I got.

Christmas morning was at my mom's house. We picked up Haylie and Liam in Brock's work truck. Talk about a little crowded!!

Then off to my grandparents. My dad wasn't able to make it, so we had to go back the day after Christmas.

Then, Saturday we went back to my mom's house to see the rest of my family that didn't make it Christmas day.

First Haircut!!

So, we finally took Allie to get her first haircut. She doesn't have much, but what she does have is "crazy". It goes every which way it wants to. She was a trooper and didn't mind it at all. Doesn't Brock look so cute in the Zebra smock?? I had to take the pictures!! :)

Halloween Past and Present!!

So, Brock and I have both been really big on Halloween. We love dressing up and usually have a Halloween party. The last couple of years we have not due to Allie's arrival last year and this year I threw a baby shower for Jill on the same weekend of Halloween.

Brock has always been a good sport on dressing up and will go for anything. I have a couple of pics from the past Halloweens so you can see as well as this years pictures of Trick or Treating with Allie.

Brock was Dorothy and I was Glenda the Good Witch from Wizard of Oz.

Brock was Richard Simmons and I was his workout protege. I just love the short shorts on Brock. Really shows off his legs. :) I had a sumo suit on underneath that blew up, a little uncomfortable but I think it made the costume.

Brock was Popeye and I was Olive Oil. Brock begged to be a more masculine character this year.

Allie then was Swee' Pea. I know in the cartoons. Swee' Pea was a boy that wore red, so Allie is the girl version in Blue. Ms. Terri made Allie's costume. It looked so cute on her. A little dress with a train.

Yeah, we finally got to take Allie's year pictures/ family photo's yesterday. We had to cancel twice because of the rain. We met our photographer Angel Porch at the Farmer's Market downtown for our session. It was a little cold but I think she got some great photos. I can't wait to see all of them. Czech Festival

We took Allie to the Czech Festival in Yukon this year. We all had a great time. We arrived just in time to see the end of the parade, listen to some polka/czech music, buy or kolache's and eat a little. All was well until we got home and Brock has gotten food poisiong from something. YUCK!! Poor daddy .

(Yes, Allie still fits in her infant car seat. We bought her a new one but she still likes this one. And since she is so little, Dr. Bowen wants us to keep her rear facing until she grows/gains more weight. :) )

Cousins

I had the privilege of watching little man for a couple hours while is momma went to a soccer game. They had the best time playing together. It's crazy that they are only 2 weeks apart.

My little shrimp just doesn't seem to want to grow. At her last checkup she was only 18 lbs 7oz and 27 1/4 inches long. Poor thing. She really followed after her dad and I.

We had Allie's Birthday party on September 12th. She had a great turnout. I had about 45 people crammed into my house. She had the best time and loved getting to visit with everyone. Thank you everyone who made it out.

Allie turned 1 on September 9th. Brock and I took off work and took Allie to McDonald's for breakfast. She had some pancakes and loved it. Then it was off to the zoo. Brock and I were both really excited to go. We hadn't been in forever it seems. Allie on the other hand could have really cared less. The only time we got some reaction from her was when she saw the monkeys. Go figure.....

We have been a little busy in the Miner household. We had a string of birthday's the last few weeks. To start it off, Jill and I finally turned 28 on August 20th. It sure don't feel that old.

Next, my nephew Liam turned 1 on August 26th. Liam had his birthday party at our house. Haylie did a construction/truck theme. It was really cute. I wish I would have gotten more pics of it. Most of it is on video. He really tore into his cake. Too cute!!!

Brock turned 31 on August 29th. A big group of us all went out to Eischen's for some beer and fried chicken. I hadn't been there in so long and was extremely excited about it. Grandpa watched Allie for us so we got to have a long night out. We had a great time.

My Dad's birthday was September 2nd so we also celebrated that at my grandparents house..

Next up, is Allie's birthday!!!!

Allie's new favorite thing is to dance. She will dance to music, the T.V., when she's eating or for no reason at all. It is the cutest thing ever. She shrugs her shoulders up and down. I finally got a little video of it. Not her best work, but the best I could get. She likes to stare at the camera every time I pull it out. Enjoy.

4th of July

Brock, Allie and I had a great 4th of July weekend. Aunt Jill and Uncle John came into town for a visit. We took Allie to Shoguns for the first time on friday night. She didn't quite make it through the whole dinner, but was a very good baby and slept through the end so Brock and I could eat.

Saturday we went to Yukon for their 4th of July celebration. We made it about 30 minutes and then the storms came in. We were holed up under a tent until Brock finally had a chance to run and get the car for us. Allie wasn't fazed at all. The thunder claps or rain didn't scare her one bit. She kept smiling and giggling through the whole thing

Memorial Day Weekend Fun!!!

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend. We went to a friend's for a cookout on Saturday night and went to my dad's on Memorial day for a cookout and to swim. It was Allie's first time in a pool and she loved it!! Eventually...:)

Our Trip To Austin..

Brock, Allie and I loaded up Thursday afternoon and drove to Austin to visit Aunt Jill and Uncle John. Allie did really well in the car for 6 hours. I was very proud of her. She took a couple naps and I tried to entertain her the rest of the time.

On Friday,Allie went with Jill and I to her salon so I could get my hair done. (Yes, Jill has lived in Austin for 4 years and she still does my hair. I still do not trust anyone else to do it. :) It always gives us an excuse to see each other. ) All the girls loved her...

Friday night we all went out to dinner at Houston's. We all had a great time.

Saturday, Allie stayed home with the boys so Jill and I could do a little retail therapy. Our luck, Allie started to feel bad and run a slight temperature so I took her to an Urgent care clinic there in Austin. Like we thought, she had an ear infection in her right ear. Poor baby. Brock and I are pro's at this ear infection thing, being that this is Allie's 4th. We got her on antibiotics and thought all would be great. Well...............................

Allie did really well on the way home Sunday considering but we just couldn't get her comfortable. She was really congested with snot pouring out of her nose. With only 3 hours sleep Sunday night I knew something wasn't right so I called Allie's pediatrician Monday morning and got her an appointment. She started vomiting everywhere and began running a fever.

So, Dr. Bowens said that both of Allie's ears were now infected and they were pretty severe. The antibiotic that we received in Austin wasn't doing anything. She gave Allie a shot in the office and switched her meds and so far all is good in the Miner household. She and mama both are feeling much better now. :) Allie went to "school" today and was so excited to see Ms. Terri and her friends. It had been so long.

We really did have a wonderful time visiting with Aunt Jill and Uncle John. Allie said she's ready for us to send her back for a week or so by herself......... :)

Mother's Day Weekend

I have to say, that I had a wonderful 1st Mother's day. Brock and Allie showered me with love and attention and I also got some wonderful gifts. Brock scheduled me an appointment to get microdermabrasion on my face and also bought me an elliptical machine. Allie got me some Shirley Temple movies and Disney Princess movies. I think she shopped for herself, but I loved it. :) How spoiled am I???

You all know how hard it is to leave your babies to return to work. We have been truly blessed to find Ms Terri. Allie absolutely loves her which makes it so much easier on Brock and I. She coos and smiles everytime she sees or hears Ms Terri's voice. We thank god every day for Ms Terri.

Allie has made a few friends at "school" as well. She loves talking and screaming at them. They will have so much fun together when they get a little older.

Haylie and I took Liam and Allie to get their 6 month photos together. They turned out too precious. Can you believe that Liam is only 2 weeks old than Allie? He's quite a bit larger than she is. But that's not really saying much, since Allie really didn't have a chance. Brock and I aren't the biggest people.
